Asian Roundtable of Colorado
We Cultivate Community Through Action
About Us
The mission of the Asian Roundtable of Colorado is to provide a collaborative forum for AAPI communities to discuss and act upon issues of mutual concern; and to celebrate the culture and heritage of our communities.
In 1983, the board members of the Asian Cultural Center, the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Asian Pacific Development Center spearheaded the effort to form the Asian Roundtable of Colorado (ARC). Since then, over 50 Asian organizations have participated in ARC discussions.
The goals include promoting unity among AAPI communities of Colorado, assisting to find solutions and to voice and act upon advocating these solutions, empower individuals of all our communities to achieve their personal, economic and community goals.
ARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose members are primarily AAPI community individuals and organizations. The members meet regularly to discuss interests and concerns of their communities and its members. The ARC does not seek to compete with other AAPI resources; instead, it provides a collaborative forum to address issues and develop programs that meet the ARC mission and goals.
Our Work
2020 Census
ARC campaigned and reached out to AAPI communities throughout the state of Colorado to encourage everyone to fill out the 2020 Census.
Acts of Kindness
Acts of Kindness was created to support our AAPI cohorts in their efforts to outreach to the community-at-large through projects and/or activities in their neighborhoods, schools, etc. Projects such as teaching high school students how to build e-bikes and donating the bikes to people in need of transportation; trail clean-up in the mountains; and cultural festivals.
Action Against Hate
The Action Against Hate campaign was created by ARC to empower AAPI individuals and communities through meaningful dialogue and innovative solutions, supporting the most vulnerable among us. In response to rising hate-related incidents, Action Against Hate identified gaps in services for individuals facing barriers such as language, culture, economics, access, and other inequities. We have expanded our Action Against Hate mission to empower individuals and communities of all backgrounds.
AAPI Culture Fest
In 2024, in partnership with the The Denver Asian American Pacific Islander Commission (DAAPIC), ARC participated in the creation of the annual Denver AAPI Culture Fest to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. The 2026 Culture Fest represented 18 different AAPI communities and it was attended by 13,000 people who were able to learn about each culture, eat different cuisines, and enjoy entertainment by each AAPI group.
